Key Sequence: With Colgate up by 2 and 14:28 remaining, Todd Checovich slammed home a dunk in the low post to give Colgate some momentum after the Army comeback. The emotional boost of the Checovich dunk was noticeable on the Colgate sideline.

But with many questions left unanswered on the eve of league play, let’s take the time go beyond the records, the RPI rankings, and the perceptions to take a closer look at how Patriot teams have performed in the non-league portion of the schedule. Key Sequence: After the Macon free throws tied the game again at 57, Thomas missed a shot for the Crusaders but Holy Cross got the ball back when Morris was called for an offensive foul with 34 seconds left. Holy Cross held the ball until just 2 seconds remained, when Cunningham drained a three to seemingly win the game. However, off the long inbounds, Morris redeemed himself by hitting a miracle three as time expired to send it to overtime.
