Key Sequence: American led 32-22 heading into a media timeout late in the first half, and had scored 5 straight. Howard’s next three possessions led to two missed shots and a turnover, while American had an Ingram trey, Travis Lay lay-up, and another Ingram three to go from in control of a close game to blowing out the Bison.

Gamecenter: Colgate 82, Elmira 34

Key Sequence: The opening offensive possessions for the Soaring Eagles se the pace for the rest of the game. Elmira’s K.C. Mendez was stuffed by Daniels on a jumper at 18:56 in the first half. Elmira hustled to get the rebound, only for Palen Andreozzi to also get stuffed by Daniels. Colgate rebounded and turned the ball over. The next Elmira possession Daniels struck again, literally, swatting another Elmira shot from KC Mendez. Elmira never got the score closer than that.

Gamecenter: Duke 57, Holy Cross 45

Key Sequence: Holy Cross led 34-30, but Duke was clearly beginning to gain steam. McRoberts hit a lay-up, and after Lawrence Dixon missed a three, Nelson converted a pair of free throws. Simmons missed a three, and Clifford fouled Brian Zoubek. Zoubek hit the first free throw, and missed the second, but Duke rebounded the ball and Nelson hit a three-ball. Duke was off to the races, running off 13 straight points, as Holy Cross’s desperation attempts to stave off the Devils failed.

Key Sequence: In the second overtime, Navy’s first possession was a Kina jumper. Their second resulted in 2 Johnson free throws, their third in Johnson hitting 1 free throw, and their fourth in Sprink hitting a pair of free throws. In the same time, Howard missed three shots and turned the ball over twice.

Gamecenter: American 60, Longwood 49

Key Sequence: With 15:15 to go in the first half, Longwood was down 8-2 but had the ball and a chance to cut their deficit. Clayton Morgan missed a lay-up, leading to a Lekavicius jumper. The next time down the court, Brian Gilmore stripped Morgan, and Ingram hit a transition three to open the game to 13-2.
