Gamecenter: Navy 73, Loyola 61

Key Sequence: With 9:06 left, Loyola established a 52-41 lead. Then Topercer hit a trey, Sprink hit two free throws off a Loyola miss, and Topercer hit two free throws. A Clif Colbert steal led to a Trey Stanton dunk. Then Topercer hit a lay-up off a turnover, grabbed a steal, and fed Corey Johnson for a lay-up to take the lead. In a bit over two minutes, Navy went on a 13-0 run while allowing Loyola to take only one field goal attempt.

Gamecenter: Army 80, Setson 68

Key sequence: With 14:14 left in the first half, a Stetson bucket made the score 13-12 Army. Jarell Brown hit a trey, and after a Hatter miss Matt Bell scored a lay-up. After the Hatters turned the ball over, Bell hit a three-pointer, then stole the ball, was fouled in transition, and hit two free throws. Sheldon Oliver hit a jumper to stop the run at 12:17, but Grant Carter hit another trey for the Black Knights on the next possession. In just over two minutes, Army ran off a 13-2 run to take a firm grasp on this game that they would never relinquish.

Gamecenter: Lafayette 76, Wagner 70

Key sequence: After Wagner regained the lead, Lafayette bounced back and was playing with a slight edge. After Wagner cut their deficit to 65-60 with 4:02 left, Matt Betley hit two three throws, then Wagner turned the ball over, leading up to another Brown three-pointer. Lafayette had reestablished control, taking a 10-point lead with 3:21 remaining.

Gamecenter: Stony Brook 65, Colgate 59

Key sequence: Tim Pounds missed a lay up which would have tied the game with 11:30 left. Stonybrook then scored two on a jumper from Mike Popoko to go up 4. Colgate scored two points on a Vinson shot. Colgate didn’t score again for three minutes. When Colgate finally did score it was due to a technical foul, called when Andre Vanterpool hung on the rim after a two handed jam. Colgate could never seem to recover.

Gamecenter: American 59, Fairfield 54 (2OT)

Key sequence: With American down by five and reeling with a minute and a half left in the first overtime, Ingram converted a four-point player with a trey and a free throw to make the score 50-49. After a Brayden Billbe block of an Allen layup, Linas Lekavicius hit a jumper to put the Eagles up a point. Though Fairfield forced a second overtime, momentum was on American’s side for good.
