Jose Olivero scored a game-high 17 points, but Lehigh could not overcome Quinnipiac’s balanced attack, dropping a 71-55 decision to the Bobcats. Quinnipiac had five players score 9 or more points.
Bobcat frontcourt-mates Chris Wehye and DeMario Anderson led the way with 15 and 14 points respectively, and 6 rebounds each. Adam Gonzalez pitched in 11 points and 7 boards off the bench. Lehigh had Olivero’s 17 and Kyle Neptune’s 14 points, and no other player breaking 6 points on the game.
The first half was a close affair, with 7 lead changes and 5 ties. Both teams’ shooters were on in the first half; Quinnipiac hit 5 treys and Lehigh nailed 4. The second half was slower-paced and more predictable. The Bobcats led by single digits from the start of the half until the final minute. Lehigh was undone by carelessness, committing 14 second-half turnovers. Quinnipiac iced the game from the free throw line, hitting all 7 attempts in the final 36 seconds.

Olivero missed a shot, Jason Mgebroff missed a tip-in, and Quinnipiac came down with the ball with 38 seconds, forcing Lehigh to start fouling.
