Trailing by six with under seven minutes to play, Dartmouth put together a game-changing 13-2 run. DeVon Mosley started things with a jumper, and Alex Barnett followed suit on the next possession, then blocked a layup attempt at the other end. Kendall Chones was assessed a technical foul, but Mosley couldn’t tie it up at the free throw line, hitting just one of two. Barnett did put the Big Green in front with a jumpshot on the ensuing possession. Kyle Roemer answered with a bucket at the other end to put the hosts on top, but Brandon Ware responded in kind to give Dartmouth the lead for good. Mosley came up with a steal and layup, then added a jumper to make it 68-63 in the Big Green’s favor with 3:52 to play.

Michael Giovacchini fouled Colgate’s Willie Morse on a three-point attempt, and the Penn State transfer converted all three free throws to make it 76-74 in Dartmouth’s favor with just 22 ticks left. Mosley was perfect on two attempts from the line to restore the margin to two possessions, but Daniel Waddy responded with a basket to make it a two-point game again. Barnett only could get one of two at the line, giving Colgate a chance to tie with a three. Kyle Roemer’s three-pointer was off the mark, and by the time the Raiders fouled Giovacchini, only one second remained. The Big Green senior hit both free throws to ice the game.

– Roemer was the game’s leading scorer with 26 points for Colgate, with Kendall Chones chipping in with 20.
– Barnett added 20 points on 8-for-9 shooting and seven rebounds for Dartmouth, while Giovacchini had 14 points and six assists, while hitting six big free throws down the stretch for the Big Green.
– Both teams shot the ball extremely well, with the Raiders finishing 27 of 49 (55.1 percent) and the Big Green not far behind at 30 of 56 (53.6 percent).
– Dartmouth might have won the game more easily if not for 16-for-27 (59.3-percent) free throw shooting.
– Colgate has very little time to rest, as it’s off to South Bend, Indiana, to take on Notre Dame on Monday, November 26, at 7:30 pm ET.
