Navy gets rolled by Drexel

12 November, 2007

by

Navy failed in their quest to start the season 2-0, misfiring their way to an 86-70 loss to Drexel in Philadelphia. The Mids shot just 36.6 percent from the floor, while allowing the Dragons a 50.9 percent shooting percentage.

Chris Harris led Navy with 16 points, including 4 three-pointers. But Greg Sprink scored just 13, going 1-of-8 from beyond the arc and 4-of-9 inside it. Spink grabbed a team-high 8 rebounds. Freshman center Mark Veazey had 10 points and 6 rebounds.

Center Frank Elegar had 24 points and 14 rebounds for the Dragons, who never trailed in the game. Drexel claimed a 20-point lead in the first half and never led the Mids back into it.
