Colgate’s Roemer out for the season

2 November, 2006

by

Kyle Roemer, Colgate’s leading scorer last season with 11.4 points per game, will miss the entire 2006-07 season after having ankle surgery according to Colgate Athletics. Roemer injured the ankle in August.

Slant: This loss definitely hurts Colgate’s offense. Fortunately for Emmett Davis’s team, Kyle Chones and Willie Morse are able to step in and help replicate Roemer’s production. As far as season-ending injuries go, this is fairly good timing for Davis, who now has the length of the non-conference schedule to rejigger his lineup and find a good rotation to take into Patriot League play.
