Keys to the Game
Key sequence In games like this, it’s important for the underdog to come out to a strong start to show they can keep up with the favorite. This time, Georgetown jumped out to a 7-0 lead to start the game, with Navy turning the ball over and missing on bad looks.
Key sign it was over After an Adam Teague three-pointer brought Navy within 12 with 9:04 to play, the Hoyas ripped off 7 straight points, 4 of them from Hibbert, as Georgetown bullied their way to victory.
Key performance Green scored 20 on 8-of-12 shooting, and grabbed 9 rebounds. Green and Hibbert used their size to bully and dominate the undersized Midshipmen.
Key statistic Navy shot 4-for-22 from the arc. The undersized underdogs can’t win if their shots don’t fall.
