Key Sequence: Bucknell came shooting out of halftime with an 11-3 run to take command of the game. A 4-point play by John Griffin and a three by Jason Vegotsky highlighted the run, as the Bison used not their interior size but shooting prowess to pull away.

Bucknell’s Brown out with broken hand

Bucknell forward Donald Brown suffered a broken wrist late in the Bison’s win at Colgate on Tuesday, and is out indefinitely. Brown is averaging a team-leading 11.9 points and 6.6 rebounds per game, while shooting 58.4 percent from the floor. He began the season starting at small forward, but switched to power forward after the loss to Northern Iowa on December 2, and has averaged 13.6 points in the 14 games since. Bucknell has six Patriot League games remaining, plus the ESPNU BracketBusters at Hofstra on February 17, before beginning Patriot League Tournament play.

Holy Cross coach Ralph Willard has done it all, from working under Rick Pitino in the NBA and at Kentucky, to building a mid-major program at Western Kentucky and coaching in Big East at Pittsburgh, before returning his alma mater, where he’s led the Crusaders to three NCAA Tournament appearances and has designs on a fourth this season.
