Gamecenter: Army 62, Brown 54

Key sequence: In a game tied 41-41, Brown had a chance to claim its first lead since the early minutes of the game, but Keenan Jeppesen couldn’t connect on a jumper. At the other end, Matt Bell put Army back on top with a three-pointer, and after a Bear turnover, Cory Sinning took advantage of a second chance and extended the Black Knights’ lead to five with a jumper. Brown only could muster a turnover and a missed layup its next two possessions before Bell made it a 48-41 game with a jumpshot at the 5:15 mark.

Gamecenter: Bucknell 72, Yale 57

Key sequence: It was a close contest, with neither team leading by more than seven, when Eric Flato drilled a three-pointer to cut the Bucknell lead to 37-34 early in the second half. At the other end, Donald Brown found Chris McNaughton inside for a layup, and after a missed three-pointer by Yale, Justin Castleberry hit two free throws. Flato couldn’t connect from deep and Casey Hughes misfired on a jumper, then Darren Mastropaolo hit one of two free throws to give Bucknell its largest lead of the game. The Bison would go on to rip off a 10-0 run, with a Brown three-point play giving them a 47-34 advantage with less than 12 minutes left in the game.1

Gamecenter: Lehigh 75, Harvard 83

Key sequence: With Harvard struggling at the free throw line and with turnovers, Lehigh ran off an 11-1 to turn a 71-55 game into a six-point game. After another Crimson turnover, the Mountain Hawks ended up with a 2-on-1 fastbreak and appeared poised to further cut into the lead. However, Jim Goffredo stepped up and drew a charging foul on Kyle Neptune, giving the ball back to Harvard. At the other end, Drew Housman drove to the bucket and got a scoop shot to fall, restoring the Crimson lead to eight points with just over two minutes left.

Gamecenter: Holy Cross 66, William & Mary 57

Key Sequence: With 10:20 left in the game William & Mary’s Adam Payton hit a three-pointer to tie the game. On the next two possessions Holy Cross’ Pat Doherty scored four unanswered points in the paint, one basket being a fast break lay-up. This sparked what would be an 11-0 Holy Cross run.

Key Sequence: With 17:14 left, Yale cut their deficit to 37-34. McNaughton hit a lay-up, and after Yale missed a pair of shots, Justin Castleberry converted a pair of free throws. Yale missed their next 4 shots, while Bucknell tacked on 6 more unanswered points on a lay-up and 4-of-5 free throw shooting. By the end of the run, Bucknell led by 13, and would never look back.
